Introduce Product Batch:
The WooCommerce Product Batch Numbers plugin simplifies batch number management for products sold through your WooCommerce shop. It allows you to track batch numbers or lot numbers at both product and order levels. This is particularly useful for businesses selling items like food or supplements. The plugin supports both simple and variable products, enabling you to easily monitor details such as expiration dates, suppliers, and availability.
Using the plugin, you can easily manage batch numbers for existing products or newly created ones within WooCommerce. For variable products, batch number management is done at both the main product and variation levels. The plugin’s interface includes a table in the inventory tab where you can input batch numbers for each product or variation.
The plugin operates on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis, automatically assigning batches to orders as they are placed in your store. This frees you from manual inventory management tasks, allowing you to focus on sales. However, you retain the flexibility to manually adjust batch assignments on a per-order or per-item basis when necessary. Overall, the WooCommerce Product Batch Numbers plugin streamlines batch number control, enhancing inventory management efficiency within your WooCommerce shop.
